ProofPoint: Releasing Emails As Admin
Users will sometimes see in their digest emails that they cannot release. It will have the links removed and a note saying 'Contact Administrator to take action on this email'
The reason for this is ProofPoint has detected it as a high risk and determined that a more technical person should review before releasing.
If you are an administrator to your company ProofPoint portal, log in and then from the left select 'Log Search'
Adjust the search query if need be, however usually the default (inbound, quarantined, last 7 days) is what is needed. Hit search.
There are several actions available in the action drop down menu. You will notice that if you choose to 'release and approve' those high risk items are missing the checkboxes - meaning they are not able to be 'approved'.
Instead you can release them from quarantine. Check the ones you want to release, choose the right dropdown item and click 'Apply'.
Those emails will then be queud for delivery
